Abortions
House Roll Call Vote 1092
Issue: Other

Labor-HEW Appropriations, Fiscal 1977 (HR 14232). The vote is on Representative Pritchard's motion to concur with the Senate and reject measures forbidding the use of federal funds to pay for, or in any way encourage, abortions. The House previously undermined the Supreme Court ruling that all women should have equal rights to abortion by voting to stop all federal aid to help low income women get abortions. Overpopulation hastens the depletion of resources and is a root cause of many environmental problems. August 10, 1976. Rejected 150-222. "YES" is the correct vote.
